Gary Sayre Sr. started working at Akron Transmission in 1957. He worked for owners Charlie Milliken and Joe Casmar. Akron Transmission was located on 165 Ira Ave. in Akron. Heloved the challenge of the ever-changing transmission industry. He later bought the business in 1978.The businessgrew and latermoved to 2416 S Main St. in Coventry Township, where we are located today. He since retired in July of 2009 when Gary Jr. took over as owner of the business.
